STEYR-SSF’s main field of activities is the design, development, production and international sales of its range of armored vehicles. About 3,000 armored vehicles are in service worldwide, more than 1,200 in NATO countries.

The line of wheeled vehicles comprises the PANDUR 6x6 and its vehicle family, the PANDUR II 6x6 and 8x8 (both in terrestrial and amphibian versions). The line of tracked vehicles is represented by the ASCOD 2 (under the name of ULAN in Austria) and the light tank SK 105.

The major in plant technologies also include - besides computer-aided design and engineering - laser-cutting and protective gas austenitic welding of armored steel plates, CNC-machining of automotive components, engine machining and vehicle assembly.

For testing the vehicles, STEYR-SSF has its own test and training course and prototyping facilities.
